Cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of morbidity and mortality in the developed world. Yet, some studies have estimated up to 90% of the disease burden can be prevented. This issue seeks to further explore ways in which we as a medical community can learn more about this disease process and fight back so as to protect our patients, family, and friends.
